THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN

This year's phrase is "This wasn't supposed to happen." It must be incorporated in films submitted to the Drama, Comedy, and Elementary School categories.

This phrase can be incorporated in any way the director(s) want, as long as it is within the total running time of the film.

The Music Video and Expressionistic categories aren't required to put the phrase in their film, but if they could, we strongly encourage it.
Drama
Tell us a story! Any form on narrative is allowed! Must include the 2019 phrase:"This wasn't supposed to happen." Must be 10 minutes or less.
Comedy
Make us laugh! Must include the 2019 phrase:"This wasn't supposed to happen." Must be 10 minutes or less.
Expressionistic
Express yourself in a non-narrative and non-traditional way. Break the rules! Must be 10 minutes or less.
Music Video
Make a video to an appropriate song! Must be 10 minutes or less.
Elementary School
This category is for anyone who wants to submit a film in elementary school (6th grade or younger). Must include the 2019 phrase: "This wasn't supposed to happen." Must be 10 minutes or less.
Technical Guidelines

Total Running Time of the film must be 10 minutes 00 seconds or less

Films are due on February 22nd, 2019 by midnight.

We will contact the director(s) whose film we have chosen to showcase on the night of the film festival. These films will be eligible to win in their intended category.

There will be a winner in each category, which will be decided by a panel of judges. These winners will be announced during the film festival. A popular winner will be voted on by the audience on the night of the film festival.

The film must be uploaded to Youtube.com and be linked with the submission.

You are able to submit multiple films into different categories. One single film cannot be submitted into multiple categories

KFF can switch films submitted into a different category as they see fit.
